Gold Derby is serving up Big Brother 28 spoilers all summer long. Read at your own risk!
The Crossovers alliance has taken early control of the game, with Head of Household Dee Valladares and her Survivor ally Rick Devens creating a strong five-some with BB legend Angela Murray, Barrett Pfeiffer, and Drew Campbell. Their first target was Mallory Aurichio — who talks a lot, but never about strategy — with the other nominees being Yash Patel and Taylor Brown.
Shockingly, the rocket scientist from New Jersey won the first Power of Veto of the summer, meaning Dee was about to get even more blood on her hands with her replacement pick. Off-limits were Rome Seymour, Chuk Anyanwu, and Jason De Puy, who all won safety for the week because of their challenge wins in the season premiere.
VETO MEETING
At the season’s inaugural Veto meeting, held Monday afternoon, Dee announced that she was replacing Mallory with Ashley Trail.
That means either Taylor, Yash, or Ashley will have the unfortunate distinction of being the first person booted from Season 28 during Thursday’s live show. But first, one of them will come off the chopping block in the live Block Buster competition.
Ashley, like Barrett, started the game as an outcast who wasn’t part of a team during the Head of Household competition. Dee had considered putting Ashley up as an initial nom, but went with Yash instead; now Ashley is in danger as a renom.
JASON VS. ‘BIG DADDY’
The summer began with three reality TV legends — Dee, Rick, and Angela — competing in the house against a bunch of competition newbies. But the audience knows there are actually four. Jason, as his drag persona Salina EsTitties, was a fan-favorite on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 15 and later returned for Drag Race All Stars Season 11. But he’s keeping that information close to his breastplate.
In an effort to gain the trust of the other newbies, Jason is proposing a plan to go after “Big Daddy,” aka Rick, with Dee and Angela also on his hit list. He’s worried that the reality trio are getting all of the screen time and are influencing the season’s narrative. The freshman players will only get a chance to stand out, claims Jason, once Rick, Dee, and Angela are officially donezo.
“The sooner we get them out, the sooner the game becomes ours,” he told Melody Morris and Drew.
Drew, who is working closely with the reality trio in the Crossovers alliance, replied, “Interesting. I didn’t even think about that.”
Jason continued, “Think about America’s favorite. It’s Big Daddy, who all the boys are loving. He’s everyone’s favorite dad right now. He’s America’s dad, winning all that money for his two kids. … He’s my target, so you can let me take him out.”
“I was also thinking that,” Melody admitted. “I feel like no one has mentioned him.”
Jason theorized that “Devens is handling the boys, and Angela is handling the girls, to play Mom and Dad.” He thinks all of the newbies are “falling for it, because they’re cool.” The conversation ended when he declared: “I want to take that shot.”
NEVER-ENDING ALLIANCES

We all know how the Crossovers alliance (Dee, Rick, Angela, Barrett, and Drew) is currently dominating the game. But they’re not the only group in town.
Other alliances have also started forming, including the Red Corner (Dee, Rick, Chuk, Kamu Kirk, and Haley Thogmartin); Mama’s Angels (Jason, Rome, and LaTrice Verrett); the Court Jesters (Jason, Melody, and Drew); and the Love Triangle (Jason, Rome, and Lyric Medeiros). And there are many, many more.
Even with three episodes per week, CBS simply doesn’t have enough time to feature all of these groups on the show. See which ones are officially mentioned during Wednesday’s episode.
