The 2026 Daytime Emmy nominations are being announced in three waves by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
The first wave happened on Monday night, with Entertainment Tonight announcing the nominees for Best Drama Actress and Best Daytime Talk Series, and Extra unveiling the lineups for Best Daytime Talk Series Host and Best Drama Actor. The second wave occurs Tuesday morning during The View, at which point the group of hosts will take turns announcing the contenders in three key races: Best Daytime Drama Series, Best Entertainment News Series, and Best Daytime Personality (Daily).

Beyond the Gates, the first new broadcast network soap opera in decades, is officially on the Emmy board with its first two nominations (so far): Tamara Tunie and Karla Mosley for Best Lead Actress. The pair of leading ladies are joined by Stacy Haiduk (Days of Our Lives), Michelle Stafford (The Young and the Restless), and Heather Tom (The Bold and the Beautiful).
In a shocker, Clifton Davis, the leading man of Beyond the Gates, was snubbed in Best Lead Actor in favor of Eric Braeden (The Young and the Restless), Steve Burton (General Hospital), Scott Clifton (The Bold and the Beautiful), Thorsten Kaye (The Bold and the Beautiful), and Christian Jules LeBlanc (The Young and the Restless).
The chat shows up for Best Daytime Talk Series are 3rd Hour of Today, The Drew Barrymore Show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, Today With Jenna & Friends, The View, and last year’s winner Live With Kelly and Mark.
The host nominees are Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin & Ana Navarro (The View), Kelly Clarkson (The Kelly Clarkson Show), Tamron Hall (Tamron Hall), Jennifer Hudson (The Jennifer Hudson Show), and Sherri Shepherd (Sherri).
