Taylor Frankie Paul is speaking out about all the drama with her baby daddies!
As we previously reported earlier this week, Tate Paul filed for a restraining order against his ex-wife and asked for custody of their two children, Indy and Ocean Paul, because he feared for their kids’ safety due to The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star’s increasingly erratic behavior. He also cited her infamous 2023 barstool-throwing incident, which resulted in their daughter getting injured, to try to strengthen his case. A judge denied the restraining order request, but Taylor’s ex-husband refuses to give up!

Online court records obtained by TMZ showed that Tate filed a motion for reconsideration on Thursday. Along with the motion, he submitted several exhibits, including texts that he claims show TFP refusing to say why she received inpatient treatment, hiding her mental health crisis, and admitting she stops assaulting her ex-boyfriend/baby daddy Dakota Mortensen when he records their fights. He also included call logs and messages with Taylor’s immediate family members as evidence that he felt would change the court’s mind about the restraining order.
The judge has since rejected several of Tate’s claims due to lack of evidence. However, Taylor was ordered to provide records from her treatment if requested by the Utah Division of Child and Family Services. The reality star was also told to undergo a drug and alcohol test. If the results are negative, she will get unsupervised parenting time with their children. But if it is positive for any unprescribed drugs or alcohol, her supervised visits will continue. The court will hold a hearing on Tate’s restraining order if that’s the case, too.
Notably, all of this comes after Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette is reportedly expected to air soon. The television personality now thinks Dakota teamed up with Tate to try to sabotage her season. After all, the Unwell Winter Games star also called the cops on Taylor about his protective order against her and drop-offs and custody of their 2-year-old son Ever following the Bachelorette update. There’s now an investigation into whether she violated it.
Amid the baby daddy drama, the content creator’s mom stepped forward to defend her. Now Taylor is sticking up for herself. She took to Instagram Stories on Friday to break her silence in a series of posts over the matter, saying:
“My holdback while being trashed and bashed needs to be studied.”
Getting emotional, Taylor shared that she “spent the day crying and fighting for my 2 older children.” The social media star then got Indy and Ocean back, only for them to be taken away from her again:
“They had returned yesterday after being withheld and they were expressing how excited they were to spend this year with me doing fireworks. Their dad even told me we could EXTEND it to Monday so I relayed them the exciting news just for him to take it back? & rip them away again today. It was lies to them and my gut was wrenching to witness them cry, confused and asking why…”
Taylor continued:
“If I understand correctly. Because I willing seeked extra support for my mental health. I even was open with those who needed to know I only refused giving details to my controlling exs ..I had my kids taken for doing the right thing….why would I ever ask for help again. I openly tested at the facility and was clean aside from my prescription meds I openly talk about. This is abuse by proxy.”
On top of losing her older two children, the MomTok star said a third party “was needed for baby switch off (not on my end.)” And they used a cop. She added:
“The officer was very kind. However my body is traumatized by constant cop calls, cps calls, visits and new reports. Baby daddy’s claim it’s for ‘safety’ meanwhile I have the children while they are out having fun either on vacation and concerts…I’m always at home recovering from this trying to survive.”

Alongside a picture of her kids crying, Taylor went on to accuse Tate and Dakota of teaming up for a “smear campaign” against her. TMZ reported on Thursday that the two guys even have the same legal team right now! Dakota retained Steven Russell and Chad Shattuck, Tate’s long-time attorneys! So, it looks like they are helping each other! Taylor said in her post:
“I’m dealing with the system, while be tagged teamed, plus a smear campaign was happening. While trying to recover my own nervous system from so much abuse done to me…while also trying to help and console them. And daddy is seen out having fun, smiling, while his child is in agony. Daddy has sole custody. Shes ‘not well’ FACTS. I am not okay because I care and anyone with a heart would be dying witnessing this for months now.”
She then claimed Tate is trying to control her:
“I was vulnerable and trusted my ex because he begged me to tell him what I went through and I cried telling him it all and then he pretended to feel for me. He lied, he twisted it, and then teamed up with the person that did it to me and filed against me as well. Oh and told me ‘this is a lesson to be nicer to him and tell him information when asked.’ this isn’t about safety it’s about control for them. That’s called coercive control for those that don’t know aka abuse.”
And Taylor wasn’t done! Bringing up the barstool incident, she posted a picture Tate allegedly took of the bruises on her arm from that fight with Dakota. She wrote:
“Oh remember the chair video that went nation wide TWICE?? These are my some of my wounds from that night. I’ve apologized and been punished for years now. I don’t condone any of it. I had just lost two babies and was being so gaslit and psychologically emotionally and physically abused. I peed my pants because I was terrified and I was the one screaming for help. I’ve had this pic for years”
Remember how the barstool allegedly hit her daughter? Taylor maintains it never did, but instead she claimed she “was later told his phone hit my daughter no the chair way after I admitted to it all.” Take a look at the picture (below):

Taylor continued to show injuries she received over the years, seemingly from Dakota. She first posted a picture of bite marks on her back around the time of Ever’s first birthday party. Additionally, the Hulu star shared a snap of scratches on her back when she was three months pregnant “and scared to ask for help because I was always reminded I’d go to jail if I told anyone.” She also showed text messages of her being slut shamed. Ultimately, Taylor doesn’t care if she’s exposing too much. She is done protecting Tate and Dakota following their recent actions:
“I’m tired and fed up. My eyes are swollen from crying for my kids all day and night. Don’t really care what I ‘shouldn’t post’ Done protecting them as they are still torturing me at my lowest. The MOTHER of their children. Weak a** men that lost control of me and didn’t like it. One even told me he wants me to be the mother of all his kids even if not together. I’m exhausted all around and hope the courts see who they really are. That was just scratching the surface of what I’ve been through.”
What a messy and heartbreaking situation, especially for the kids. Neither Dakota nor Tate has responded to Taylor’s accusations.
