Paris-based company Lucky Number has boarded Dominga Sotomayor’s “La Perra” ahead of its world premiere at Cannes’ Directors Fortnight. The film is produced by RT Features, the Brazilian outfit behind Walter Salles’ Oscar-winning film “I’m Still Here,” as well as Luca Guadagnino’s “Call Me By Your Name;” and Planta, the Chilean company whose credits include Lisandro Alonso’s “Double Freedom;” Cannes Critics’ Week winner “Simon of the Mountain;” Nayra Ilic García’s Tribeca prizewinning “Cuerpo Celeste.” Lucky Number will launch international sales in Cannes. Trecina “Tina” Campbell and Glendon “Teddy” Campbell are going their separate ways. Teddy filed for divorce from the Mary Mary singer on April 13 after more than 25 years together, according to court documents obtained by E! News. The 51-year-old—who listed their date of separation as June 2024—cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split in docs filed to the Los Angeles County Superior Court. Aubrey Plaza, Paul Rudd, Quentin Tarantino & More Highlight Tribeca Festival’s 25th Slate
A record 102 world premiere feature films are on tap at the 25th edition of the Tribeca Festival in June. While celebrity-driven films have long been a staple of Tribeca (along with Oscar-destined documentaries and work by top-tier narrative filmmakers), this year’s bounty includes a number of recognizable names. Among them are Paul Rudd, Quentin Tarantino (in front of the camera), Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson, Alicia Vikander, Emilia Clarke and Allison Brie. The festival will run from June 3 to 14. Its slate will feature 117 feature films as well as 86 shorts. The fest dropped the word “film” from its official name…
