It wouldn’t be a Beatles movie without Abbey Road. In a video shared on social media, Harris Dickinson, Paul Mescal, Joseph Quinn and Barry Keoghan were shown recreating the iconic album cover for Sam Mendes’ multi-part Beatles biopic, titled “The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event.” Each film in the series will be from the perspective of a different band member, and all four films are set for an April 2028 release by Sony Pictures. Mendes’ project marks the first time that the Beatles and their estates have signed off on life rights and music for a theatrical feature film…

Who attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding? There was quite the evergreen group of friends that stepped out at Madison Square Garden to see Swift and Kelce say “I do.” Seriously, the guest list was over 1,000 people. On Swift’s side, her longtime friends including Abigail Anderson Berard, Selena Gomez and her husband Benny Blanco, Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper, Ed Sheeran and wife Cherry Seaborn, Lena Dunham, Jack Antonoff, Zoë Kravitz, Ashley Avignone and Karlie Kloss could all be voted best dressed, fearless. Meanwhile, Kelce had nearly every guy on the Chiefs take part in his special day, including…
Indie films helped drive a terrific box office weekend with Jane Schoenbrun’s Teenage Sex And Death At Camp Miasma from Mubi a standout. The edgy director with a dedicated fan base of her own tapped the youthful audience that flocked to Obsession and Backrooms as well as fans of the The X-Files (Gillian Anderson stars), the imprimatur of a Cannes premiere and some of the best reviews of the year for a horror film to drive a stellar limited expansion. Emmy-winning Hannah Einbinder (Hacks) also stars in the unconventional reimagining of the slasher genre that grossed $907k at 54 theaters…
HBO‘s new Sunday night tentpole Lanterns is maybe the first truly serious attempt to adapt the Green Lantern comics for live action. Sure, Nathan Fillion’s Guy Gardiner has been adding a dash of fun to Superman and Peacemaker, but he’s mostly around for laughs — and the less said about Ryan Reynolds’ 2011 Green Lantern flick, the better. So did HBO and DC Studios pull it off? Does Lanterns finally do Green Lantern justice? LANTERNS: STREAM IT OR SKIP IT? Opening Shot: It’s 1996 and a female journalist’s voice announces, over the trademark ticking clock effect, that tonight, in a…

Rep. Nancy Mace Bet You Didn’t Know I Was Tatted AF!!! Published August 16, 2026 2:00 PM PDT Play video content Nancy Mace’s political career is almost out of ink … but her arms are anything but. The outgoing South Carolina congresswoman ditched the sleeves to promote her new YouTube show, “Get Maced” — revealing both arms are loaded with tattoos she had somehow kept almost completely under wraps. And this isn’t one dainty piece peeking out from her wrist … Mace’s arms are covered, giving the buttoned-up politician a look few voters probably had on their bingo cards. Mace…
ESPN Reportedly Won’t Put WWE PLEs Fully Behind ESPN Unlimited Despite SummerSlam Change
WWE fans may have missed something unusual at SummerSlam this year, but ESPN apparently isn’t giving up on its experiment of putting the first hour of WWE Premium Live Events on traditional television. According to Awful Announcing, ESPN plans to continue simulcasting the opening hour of major WWE PLEs on its linear networks, even though that portion was notably absent from SummerSlam. The report, citing Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp and PWMania, says the SummerSlam decision was the result of scheduling conflicts rather than a permanent change to ESPN’s WWE coverage strategy. WrestleMania 42 marked the first time part of a…
On Friday, Ryan Gosling and director Shawn Levy brought the house down at Disney’s D23 with the first footage from their upcoming Star Wars: Starfighter. By Sunday, as the fan expo was winding down, virtually all traces of the teaser had been scrubbed from the internet. (Emphasis on virtually.) As Gold Derby noted over the weekend, unlike San Diego Comic-Con, where security strictly enforces a no-shooting policy when it comes to exclusive clips, Team Mickey seemed fine with the 14,000 faithful packing the Honda Center to capture all the video they wanted. We even used fan-sourced video in our coverage…
