Justin Baldoni is ready to leave this legal war behind.
After a grueling year-and-a-half battling Blake Lively in court over allegations he sexually harassed her on the set of It Ends With Us then started a smear campaign against her in retaliation for speaking out, the fight is finally over. The parties came to a settlement agreement last minute — saving them from a contentious trial that was just two weeks away. The Gossip Girl star still has the right to fight for legal fees and damages, which she’s doing, so it’s not completely behind ’em, but it’s a good start.
The Jane the Virgin alum’s said to be “ecstatic” about the conclusion of the suit. But what’s he really been up to? Where’s his head at?

With Blake stepping out into the spotlight again, Justin’s opted for a quieter existence lately. According to People sources on Friday, Hollywood’s the last thing on the filmmaker’s mind right now. He’s focused on his wife, Emily, and their kids, Maiya Grace, 10, and Maxwell Roland-Samuel, 8, and their new life in Nashville.
An insider shared:
“It’s obviously been an incredibly difficult time for the whole family, but Nashville has given them a fresh start.”
The family moved to Tennessee in late 2025, and despite facing a “very difficult time” since the actress filed her lawsuit in December 2024, a second insider said, “Nashville has been so welcoming.” They elaborated:
“It’s been a kind and healing place for them, without all the noise.”
The first source went on to point out that the director won’t let this upsetting situation hold him down for long:
“Justin and Emily are both incredibly resilient and grounded. Justin’s not someone who sits around dwelling on the past and feeling sorry for himself.”
But for now, his main priority is his family:
“Right now, their focus is really on family and moving forward.”
We bet he’s hoping Blake’s fight for money will be wrapped up quickly! It’s hard to totally move on with that still swirling!
And by the way, he’s got things to look forward to in his career, too. He’s one of the producers of the upcoming biopic Dinner with Audrey, among other projects in development. So, while he may not be the face of a big project right now and isn’t looking to rush back into the spotlight, this doesn’t seem to have totally derailed his work.
