The Gentlemen star Kaya Scodelario is addressing those Meghan Markle rumors.
Shortly after it was revealed that the 45-year-old Duchess of Sussex, husband Prince Harry, and their two young kids were moving back to the UK, it was reported that one of the reasons behind the move was because Meghan was in talks to appear on the upcoming third season of the hit Netflix series.
However, before any official casting announcement was even made, another report claimed that Meghan had been dropped from the show because the “backlash in the UK was so intense, it became untenable to go forward.”

While promoting the newly released second season of The Gentlemen, Kaya, who plays Susie Glass on the series, was asked about the Meghan casting rumors.
“I, unfortunately, have no decision-making abilities,” the 34-year-old actress said during her Wednesday (September 9) appearance on Today. “I wish I did because I would love to cast the show myself; I’d put all my friends in it.”
After further stressing that she has no idea whether the rumors that Meghan will be appearing on season three of the show are true, Kaya said that she would be on board if they are.
“I don’t know. I think what’s wonderful about our show is that we have these characters pop up and we get these great guest actors come in, sprinkle a little bit of their magic into the characters and make really memorable scenes out of them,” Kaya said. “It’s one of things I like most about the show. We have wonderful guest actors in season 2, and the more the merrier. Everyone, have a go!”

In another recent interview, the show’s lead actor Theo James was also asked about the Meghan rumors. Here’s what he said…
Season two of The Gentlemen is available for streaming on Netflix now.
