Hayden Panettiere was set to appear at the Creep I.E. Con this weekend and to reunite with her Scream 4 co-star Nico Tortorella. However, the convention announced on Friday that she will no longer be attending due to an “emergency” involving her family. A statement posted to Instagram read:
“Hayden Panettiere has an emergency and will not be able to attend this weekend. We are looking forward to her appearing at an upcoming show.”

Taking her place on Saturday and Sunday is Dominique Swain, who starred in Face/Off and Lolita. See the post (below):
Following the announcement, Hayden’s representation revealed more details to Dailymail.com:
“Hayden cancelled her appearance due to a private family matter concerning the health of an elderly relative.”
