Elon Musk appears to be showing his support for Armie Hammer.
On Friday (June 26), the 54-year-old businessman, and world’s first trillionaire, to his X account to share a link to the controversial new movie Citizen Vigilante, starring the 39-year-old actor, so that his followers could watch it. The link was active for 48 hours and went dark on Saturday, June 27.
Directed and written by German filmmaker Uwe Boll, the new movie, which was released in the U.S. on June 19, was notably banned in Boll‘s home country for depicting abhorrent violence and for being anti-migrant, according to The Telegraph.
In the film, Armie plays Sanders, a wealthy American businessman living in Zagreb who inherited a massive real estate empire from his late father. Sanders begins targeting violent criminals who he believes escaped meaningful punishment through the legal system.
Citizen Vigilante marks the first movie Armie has starred in since his career came crashing down in 2021 when was accused of sexual assault and cannibalism fantasies.
Before sharing the link to the the movie on X, Musk replied to a post showing Citizen Vigilante as the No. 2 movie on the Apple TV charts. He wrote, “Citizen Vigilante 2 will be even better.”
Armie recently broke his silence after his scandals claiming he “didn’t do” what people said he did.
