Live from New York, it’s Game 4 of the NBA Finals!
Game 3 wasn’t technically a must-win for the San Antonio Spurs, but Victor Wembanyama and company understood the gravity of the situation. Wemby scored 32 points while Stephon Castle added 23 and played stellar defense in a star-making performance en route to a115-111 Spurs victory.
It was another tight game as the series moved to Madison Square Garden, but San Antonio’s stifling defense, along with a few clutch assists from the referees — kidding (kinda) — limited the Knicks in the fourth quarter. The loss snapped New York’s historic 13-game playoff winning streak.
Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with 32 points, while OG Anunoby and Josh Hart added 28 and 16 points, respectively. The Knicks still hold a 2-1 series lead going into tonight’s matchup, with Game 5, which will take place back in San Antonio, set for Saturday at 8:30 p.m. ET.
