How to Train Your Dragon 2 is on the way!
After nearly three months of filming, writer/director Dean DeBlois shared in mid-May that principal photography has wrapped up.
“And that’s a wrap on HTTYD2! 81 days of principal photography now complete. Onto post production. See you in June of ‘27!” he shared on Instagram, along with a sneak peek photo.
HTTYD2 synopsis revealed
In the upcoming sequel, “when Hiccup and Toothless discover a secret ice cave filled with hundreds of wild dragons and a mysterious Dragon Rider, the two friends find themselves at the center of an epic battle to save the future of men and dragons!”
The new movie is slated to hit theaters on June 11, 2027, two years after the first movie’s release.
