Chris Hansen is opening up about Robert Pattinson playing him in the upcoming movie Primetime.
The To Catch a Predator star recently responded to the newly released trailer for the forthcoming A24 film in an interview with NewsNation.
Jesse Weber asked for his thoughts on the 40-year-old playing him in the Lance Oppenheim-directed film about the reality TV show.
“What? There’s a movie trailer? What will they think of next?” he said when asked about the teaser.
“He’s an actor, right? Young, talented guy?” he went on to say.
Jesse went on: “I mean, he sounds a lot like you. Did you have any idea about this? Did you have any working relationship with this?”
“We had heard that there was something like this in the works. They reached out to me this week, and I’ve been asked not to talk about it a great deal at this point,” he said, calling it “very dramatic” and saying he’d come back to discuss when it felt appropriate.
Still, he went on to call the trailer “very dramatic,” and said he’d return to NewsNation to speak about the film when timing felt right. Watch above.
The Dateline NBC reality TV show featured the host confronting adult men arriving at a sting house expecting to have sex with a minor, with adults impersonating the minors in online chats. The subjects were usually arrested afterward.
