Fans cannot help but continue to ship Ella Langley and Riley Green together!
Country music fans know that the singers sparked romance rumors when they released their first duet, You Look Like You Love Me, in June 2024. But the problem? Around the same time, he was also rumored to be seeing fellow country artist Megan Moroney after they posted on social media from the same vacation spot! Neither of them addressed the dating speculation!
However, Riley and Ella denied being more than friends! She told Taste of Country that same year:
“Riley was probably the first famous person I ever met. He was playing all the same bars I went to, and I played the same bars as him. It’s cool to see Alabama people winning. We’re not dating. We’re just good friends.”
And while shutting down the rumors, Riley said on The Viall Files that “Ella’s probably too smart to date me anyway.”
But fans didn’t buy it! And they think the trio got caught in a messy love triangle! The artists only fueled the rumors after Ella and Riley won Single of the Year at the CMA Awards in 2025! When the pair walked hand-in-hand to accept their trophy, the camera panned to Megan sitting in the audience looking very upset. See (below):

Flash to the Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday. Ella and Riley won another award together, this time for Music Event of the Year for their song Don’t Mind If I Do. And their acceptance speech has many fans talking again! Riley started by saying:
“Start by thanking my very lovely and talented duet partner Miss Ella Langley for being a part of this song. I was in a green room in Fayetteville, Arkansas sitting by myself. I wrote this song, and I knew there was something special about it. And we already had another big hit together, You Look Like You Love Me, and I thought, ‘Well, I need to find somebody to do this song with me.’ I called Ella in Nashville, Tennessee, in the studio, and she showed up in her pajamas and sang what you hear on the track.”
That’s when Ella chimed in to fire back:
“I had on jeans and a t-shirt. Thank you very much.”
Riley joked she “might sleep in those” before going on to gush about her:
“I knew that it was never going to get any better than that, and I’m so proud of how far you’ve come, and you continue to surprise everybody with everything you do in your career. And more than anything, I’m really proud of how you represent our home state Alabama.”

Fans noticed the “tension” between them, too! And it has them in a frenzy still days later! They want to see Ella and Riley as a couple (again)! Here of just some of the comments that keep pouring in:

“You can sense the tension there.”
“Eventually they will be together….again”
“Is the best such a doll that would be a beautiful couple but I think he broke her heart just listened to her new album dandelion I think that’s what it’s about. I don’t know. It just makes me feel bad cause they’re a great looking couple and they sing so good together but then again she sings a great duet with anybody there’s somebody else out there. I think his first name is Warren. They also do a great job. She’s so damn good that girl I’ll tell you she’s fantastic. I’m so happy to see her win so many things at every award show she deserves it so much. She’s so likable so genuine so talented to just beautiful voice great lyrics so relatable catchy tunes. She’s a total package for sure. And I do really love this song, but duet for. Very touching.”
