Natalie Maines is making waves with her political opinions again, this time calling out President Donald Trump, over two decades after infamously calling out George W. Bush in 2003.
If you don’t remember, Natalie was performing alongside The Chicks – formerly the Dixie Chicks – back in 2003 and publicly criticized the then-President and denounced the impending Iraq War. Her comments caused major blowback, affecting their album and tour sales. While she initially apologized for the remarks, she took back her apology years later.
On Tuesday (May 19), Natalie shared a photo of Trump and issued a scathing statement.
“Our democracy is disappearing right before our eyes. This fugly slut is using your gas money to pay the insurrectionists. But don’t worry about it. I’m sure posting selfies will fix everything. My last post that called him a fugly slut got removed. We’ll see how long this one lasts. Repost and help the message live. Named 1M times in the #epsteinfiles #democracy #freespeech #fuglyslut” – Natalie Maines

Rep. Jamie Raskin revealed back in February that searches for “Trump” in the unredacted Jeffrey Epstein files returned over a million results.
The Chicks are also touring this summer.
