Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s eldest daughter is officially a college graduate! But amid ongoing tension, Brad was nowhere to be seen at the ceremony.
Over the weekend, Zahara, who Angelina adopted in 2005 when the girl was just six months old, walked across the stage to accept her diploma from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. According to multiple outlets, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology! What an exciting milestone for the 21-year-old! However, while her mom and siblings were there to support her, it was reportedly crickets from her father.
On Tuesday, an insider told TMZ:
“Zahara’s mom and siblings, who have been involved over the four very special years, were present and cheering her and her Spelman sisters on.”

Brad, on the other hand, was MIA:
“Nothing prevented him from showing up for her. Or ever visiting her. The day was about all she accomplished. Not whether he was willing to attend.”
Ugh. What an unfortunate reality to have to juggle on a day that should have been nothing but joyous.
A source went on to tell TMZ that Brad didn’t contact anyone in the family or at the school about reserving a ticket for the ceremony… and the reason why is because he felt he would be unwelcome.
As we’ve been following for several years, many of the kids Brand and Angelina share, including Maddox, 24, Pax, 22, Zahara, Shiloh, 19, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 17, have distanced themselves from the F1 actor amid his divorce from their mother in the wake of the alleged airplane incident. Several kids have even dropped Pitt from their names amid the ongoing contention with their father. We previously reported Zahara introduced herself at a sorority initiation ceremony early in her college career as Zahara Marley Jolie, and that’s the name she had called as she walked across the stage!
However, the young woman was notably still listed with Brad’s last name as Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt in a commencement program.
What an unfortunate situation this continues to be! It would have been so nice if Brad could have been there, but maybe it was for the better that he wasn’t. What are your reactions here, Perezcious readers? Are you at all surprised Brad didn’t show up? Or was this expected? Let us know in the comments down below.
