The faith-based media company Family Theater Productions has found its head of production.

Kyle Benn is joining the company in the role, coming from Creator Media, a production company he founded and which had a first-look deal with Rideback and was involved in projects for Netflix and Universal.

Family Theater Productions is largely focused on VOD and streaming projects, such as kids title Guillermo & Will, about two puppet worms, as well as the feature Pray, about Catholic priest Patrick Peyton, who spread the phrase, “The Family That Prays Together Stays Together.”

Benn previously, worked as a film executive at Lionsgate, working on John Wick, Blair Witch, My Little Pony and Divergent franchises.

“I’m delighted to work with a team bringing people together through stories of hope and resilience, Benn said in a statement. “As audiences continue to gravitate toward faith and family content, I look forward to finding new ways to further engage viewers in ways that foster connection, inspiration and move people to action.”

On the TV side of things, he worked on The Price Is Right and the relaunch of Let’s Make a Deal.

“We are excited to welcome Kyle Benn to Family Theater Productions. His experience and passion for films that incorporate faith and spirituality will help us grow in our creation of stories that unlock hearts,” said Reverend David. L. Guffey, Family Theater Productions’ national director.
