Netflix is making a significant change to the rollout strategy for one of its most ambitious upcoming projects. The streamer’s adaptation of Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew, written and directed by Greta Gerwig, will no longer be released in IMAX theaters this Thanksgiving, nor will it be followed by a streaming debut on Christmas Day 2026. SAG-AFTRA has reached a tentative four-year deal with the major studios, as negotiators have managed to avoid a repeat of the strikes of three years ago. The union agreed to a deal about a month after the Writers Guild of America announced its tentative agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers. Gwen Farrell Adair, the actress known for appearances on M*A*S*H and Starsky and Hutch, has died. She was 94. Her son, Keith Farrell, confirmed that Adair died of natural causes on Thursday, April 30, in Sherman Oaks, California, according to TMZ. Born in Austin, Texas, Adair made her television debut in 1972 when she appeared in the second episode of M*A*S*H as a nurse.
