Just one day prior to the 79th Tony Awards nominations, one of this year’s Best Play contenders, Bess Whol’s Liberation, has received the prestigious Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The Columbia University jury described Wohl’s play as: “A striking blend of comedy and sincerity that explores the legacy of the consciousness-raising feminist groups of the 1970s, using the story of the playwright’s mother to demonstrate how the movement grew out of conversation, and that anyone experiencing the play has joined the discussion.” This year’s jury — which includes New York Times theatre critic Helen Shaw, past Pulitzer Prize for Drama winners…
It was certainly a night to remember for Nicole, who shares Sunday, as well as daughter Faith Margaret, 15, with ex Keith Urban, as well as Bella Cruise, 33, and Connor Cruise, 31, with ex Tom Cruise. As emphasized on Las Culturistas in March, she was “so so happy” to not only be co-chairing for the third time, but also enjoy the evening with her teen. “I just get to be there for Beyoncé,” she joked, admitting her daughter might get more benefit from the evening, adding, “She loves fashion.” Of course, Nicole is a clear fashionista herself. In addition to…

When the film picks up, a decade and a half has elapsed. One of the boys, now adult Ryunosuke, keeps the memory buried while trying to pass as someone unbroken; the other, Takumi, has never managed to put that night behind him. Nomoto’s sudden…

This past weekend, audiences brought back a trend from the mid-2000s — going to see The Devil Wears Prada in a movie theater. In the film Billy Elliot, a boy in the north of England discovers a love for dance, much to his father’s consternation. “It’s perfectly normal,” Billy tells his dad, who retorts that such pursuits are for girls, “not for lads… Lads do football or boxing or wrestling.
