Picture Credit: Netflix It’s official. The 91-day premiere window has closed, the final numbers have been tallied, and we have a major shake-up in Netflix’s most prestigious ranking. The psychological thriller limited series His & Hers has successfully cracked the English TV All-Time Top 10 list, unseating 2023’s first season of the action-thriller juggernaut, The Night Agent. For those who track Netflix’s global metrics as obsessively as we do, you know how incredibly difficult it is for a new series to breach the all-time ranks. The Night Agent has been comfortably sitting in the Top 10 since its explosive debut…

Warning: This story contains major spoilers for Season 5 of The Boys. Please proceed with caution! For the first four seasons of Prime Video’s superhero show, Karen Fukuhara acted in silence as her character, Kimiko Miyashiro/The Female, communicated via nonverbal language techniques. But all of that changed in Season 5, as the fan-fave supe underwent speech therapy (and watched loads of TikTok) to finally reclaim her speaking voice. “Finding her voice and figuring out what it’s like to be a part of the speaking world was a huge challenge for me,” Fukuhara tells Gold Derby. In prior episodes, Kimiko, the…

With so many networks and streaming platforms looking for the next big hit, many series get canceled before they have enough time to build a viable audience. Even shows garnering widespread critical acclaim have no guarantee of surviving for more than a season or two if they can’t reach a satisfactory viewership in time. Of course, this isn’t a reflection of a sitcom’s quality but of the industry’s often cutthroat nature. Many sitcoms…
