Him (2025) is officially having a second life, and it’s happening on Netflix! The supernatural horror film, produced under Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions banner and directed by Justin Tipping, has surged into Netflix’s daily top 10 movies list shortly after arriving on the platform on April 19. What makes its rise so notable isn’t just its streaming success, but the fact that it was one of the most divisive horror releases of 2025. It split audiences from the moment it hit theaters. Now, months after its initial theatrical release, the film is being rediscovered by a much wider audience on Netflix!Him…
First things first: Yes, Virginia, there is a Season 3 of Schmigadoon!, the musical theater-based comedy that ran for two toe-tapping seasons on Apple TV. But for now at least, those episodes only exist on creator Cinco Paul’s laptop. “The season’s written, and the songs are all written,” Paul confirms to Gold Derby, cautioning that he can’t make like Santa Claus and gift all of that material to us on his own. “I’m an optimist, so I still believe that someday those songs and maybe the episodes will get out there — but it’s not entirely up to me!” None…
Family finally complete (with Dad delivering both kids with an assist from the midwife), the two couldn’t stop gushing about how darn happy they were. There were the requisite birthday shout outs, of course, with Burton posting a video in which she and the kids playfully argue over who loves Morgan the most and the actor, in turn, marking the anniversary of her July birth by calling her “the hottest chick on the planet” along with the “greatest mom, partner, and best friend a fella could ask for.” But there were also the for-no-good-reason tributes, Morgan telling the world how much he loved Burton in April 2019,…
Forget ‘The Blair Witch Project,’ Prime Video Just Added a Forgotten Horror Nightmare to Its Library
Found-footage horror has always depended on one trick above all others: making the audience feel like they have stumbled onto something they were never meant to see. Grainy video, awkward interview fragments, dead air, and procedural details can make invented terror feel uncomfortably close to reality. That is why Prime Video reviving John Erick Dowdle’s 2007 found-footage horror film matters. Not to mention that there has been a genuine lack of horror films in this genre, so it perfectly fills a gap. A handful of titles like this mockumentary carry a warning-label reputation years later. They do more than scare…
Wilford Harewood/Disney ABC’s “Will Trent” shocked audiences last week with the reveal that Amanda Wagner had been killed while pursuing James Ulster’s daughter, Adelaide Clemens. Tuesday’s follow-up — directed by series lead Ramón Rodríguez — only deepened the wound, bringing Sonja Sohn back to depict the GBI deputy director’s gruesome stabbing at the hands of one of Adelaide’s acolytes. The hour picked up as authorities arrived at the scene, with the ambient sound briefly muffled to reflect what we can only imagine was the ringing in Special Agent Trent’s ears.…
Twenty years after The Devil Wears Prada became a culture-defining hit, the sequel arrived in New York on Monday night in a scene straight out of Runway. Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci reunited at the Lincoln Center event, as they walked the runway-inspired red carpet and guests turned out in their best high fashion. The Devil Wears Prada 2 sees Streep’s Miranda Priestly still at the top of Runway magazine, as Andy Sachs (Hathaway) returns as features editor and they face off against Priestly’s former assistant turned rival Emily Charlton (Blunt). In addition to its stars,…
