Spider-Man: Brand New Day broke the record for the biggest-ever opening at the U.S. box office. The film’s $360M debut bested that of Avengers: Endgame. It’s quite an accomplishment for a franchise that’s been around for a quarter century through nine films and three separate male leads. For a sense of that lineage, we’ve compiled a chronological list of all Sony’s live-action films that star Spider-Man. Scroll through the entries below for details on each live-action installment, who played Spider-Man, how much it made at the box office and where to stream it. ‘Spider-Man,’ 2002 Image Credit: Columbia Pictures/courtesy Everett…

We get enough glimpses into their lives and psyches to make a real connection to that particular show’s found family. One of the best shows to do that, The Chelsea Detective, is back for Season 4. Opening Shot: Scenes of London from the Thames. On the river, we see a mostly-glass event space sitting on a pier in London’s swanky Chelsea neighborhood. The Gist:  Fashion magnate Claire Curtis…

Aaron Rapoport/Getty Images The female buddy cop drama “Cagney & Lacey” was a groundbreaking show that depicted working women in a way that few ’80s series did. It’s a sad irony that actress Meg Foster, who played detective Christine Cagney when the show started, was forced out of the series for sexist, homophobic reasons. Foster was not the first woman to play Cagney. Loretta Swit played her in the made-for-TV movie that kicked off the franchise, though she wasn’t able to star in the series because “M*A*S*H*” wouldn’t let her…

If you’re looking up the credits for Ice Cream Man on IMDB, you might as well skip past director/co-screenwriter Eli Roth and the extensive cast list. Because the real stars of this ultra-gonzo horror film are the folks in the makeup department, especially prosthetics designers Steve Newburn and Adrien Morot (the latter an Oscar winner for his work on The Whale). Sure, Roth came up with the story and co-wrote the screenplay. But his efforts would have been for naught if you didn’t fully believe the sights of young children dismembering their parents’ bodies or playing games of tetherball and…
