Sports personalities Alex Rodriguez, Ernie Johnson, Mike Tirico, Greg Olsen, Tracy Wolfson, Katie George, and Miguel Gurwitz were among the winners at the 2026 Sports Emmys, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced on Tuesday.
Nominations for the 47th annual kudos were announced on March 25, with big names like Tom Brady, Charles Barkley, Candace Parker, Jason Kelce, and Eli and Peyton Manning being recognized. From this group, Barkley and Parker won statuettes for their analyst duties on Road to the Final Four; and Peyton Manning prevailed as an executive producer on Quarterback.
Sports media executive Steve Bornstein received a special Lifetime Achievement honor from NATAS. Comedian Roy Wood Jr. hosted the ceremony at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall in New York City.
The NFL, which dominates television ratings, earned a pair of Emmys: NFL LIVE (Best Sports Studio Show: Daily) and The NFL Today (Best Studio Or Production Design/Art Direction: Sports).
The NBA also scored two trophies on Tuesday: NBA on Prime Video (Best Technical Team: Sports Studio) and NBA on NBC & Peacock (Best Sports Graphic Design: Event/Show).
The MLB, meanwhile, claimed a whopping six wins: FOX MLB: World Series (Best Live Sports Special: Championship Event), FOX MLB: The 95th All-Star Game (Best Live Sports Special: Non-Championship Event), FOX MLB: The American League Playoffs (Best Sports Playoff Coverage), FOX MLB: World Series (Best Technical Team: Sports Event), FOX MLB (Best Sports Audio/Sound: Live Event), and FOX MLB: The Postseason (The George Wensel Technical Achievement Award).
