Mercedes-AMG launched a new car in the most epic way – with a huge production on Los Angeles’ 6th Street Bridge and with lots of A-List talent in attendance!
The car company shut down the bridge on Tuesday night (May 19) for the reveal of the AMG GT 4-Door Coupe.
Brad Pitt, Jacob Elordi, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker, Kevin Hart, Odell Beckham Jr., Olympic medalist Miles Chamley-Watson, fashion tastemaker Rahi Chadda, and Mercedes’ Formula One drivers George Russell and Kimi Antonelli were among the stars who were there.
Mercedes’ chief marketing officer Melody Lee told THR that Brad was paid to be there.
“That’s a paid partnership. I can be upfront about that,” Lee said. “He is a really good driver after his training on F1. And because of the ties between the team, the movie, and the car debuting here, he seemed like a logical choice.”
Jacob was not.
“A great example is Jacob Elordi, who found us. Some come uncompensated because they just truly love the brand. Others, sure, they ask for compensation to show up, and sometimes we work it out with a car or a fee or both,” Lee added.
Jacob was supposed to be in Cannes, France right now as a member of the film festival jury, but he dropped out because of an injury.
Jacob is actually dating one of Kourtney‘s sisters right now!
