Alex Rodriguez is back on the market.
The former MLB superstar and current businessman has reportedly called it quits with fitness instructor girlfriend Jaclyn Cordeiro after nearly three years together. That’s according to a report from TMZ that started making the rounds on Thursday, at least.
And while celebrity breakups usually come with a side of chaos, cryptic social media posts, or shady unfollowing drama, this split sounds surprisingly… mature? We almost don’t know what to do with ourselves!

According to sources close to the former New York Yankees slugger, the pair have actually been separated for around two months at this point. Apparently, there’s no screaming, no betrayal, and no tabloid-worthy messiness behind the scenes. In fact, insiders insist the breakup has been handled with respect on both sides, TMZ claims.
Perezcious readers may remember A-Rod and Jaclyn first sparked romance rumors back in late 2022 and took things public not long after. They hard-launched their relationship courtside at an NBA game in early 2023 and quickly became one of those ultra-fit couples who somehow make going to the gym look glamorous instead of exhausting.
But now, the romance has cooled off… at least for the moment.
Jaclyn addressed the breakup directly to TMZ and made it very clear there’s no bad blood between them. She said:
“To clarify, Alex and I are currently taking some time apart but there continues to be mutual love, care, and deep respect between us and for our families. We remain supportive of one another, and there is absolutely no animosity, drama, or negative story here.”
See? Mature! Civilized! Almost suspiciously healthy for Hollywood standards!
Still, the second part of her statement adds a much heavier layer to the situation. Jaclyn revealed she’s currently dealing with a serious family health issue, which understandably has shifted her priorities away from romance and public attention. She explained:
“I’m also navigating a serious health matter involving a family member at this time, so my focus is understandably there. Alex and I continue to be very close, and out of respect for everyone involved especially our daughters and loved ones I’d kindly ask that any reporting reflects the compassion and privacy this situation deserves.”
Oof. That definitely puts things into perspective.
We’re wishing her the best with that — and sending love and light to both of them as they navigate this split.
