Netflix is continuing its push into adding fan-favorite network television series to its platform, and the next major addition is a familiar one for crime drama fans. This June, the streaming giant will add the early seasons of a long-running, action-packed police procedural set against one of the most visually distinctive backdrops in modern television.
Hawaii Five-0 is officially coming to Netflix next month! We’re not joking around, nor are we talking about a rumor. This is a confirmed streaming addition, and it’s already shaping up to be one of Netflix’s most notable drops of the summer!
Hawaii Five-0 is set for a June 2026 release on Netflix
At the end of each month, Netflix shares its full list of shows and movies that are coming to and leaving its platform the following month. On May 20, the streaming giant released its June list and Hawaii Five-0 was among the additions. However, the entire 10-season CBS series will not be released on Netflix next month.
Instead, only the first five seasons will drop. The exact release date? Well, I hope you’re free on Monday, June 1, because that’s when Hawaii Five-0 seasons 1 through 5 will officially arrive on Netflix. That’s 118 episodes of high-octane crime-solving, island chases, and nonstop action ready to hit the platform all at once! You just need to make sure your schedule is clear so that you can fully prepare for a binge-watch marathon.
So, what exactly is Hawaii Five-0 about? It’s a modern reboot of the classic crime drama series, Hawaii Five-O. It centers on an elite state-level task force operating in Hawaii that takes on the kinds of cases that regular law enforcement can’t handle. The series follows the creation of this specialized unit, known simply as Five-0, which is formed by the Governor of Hawaii to combat high-level criminal threats across the islands.

Hawaii Five-0 begins with Steve McGarrett, a former Navy SEAL who returns to Oahu after the murder of his father. That personal tragedy becomes the catalyst for everything that follows, eventually leading McGarrett to accept the governor’s offer to lead the newly formed task force. From there, he builds a team tasked with handling everything from terrorism and organized crime to kidnappings, murders, and complex conspiracies that stretch across the Pacific.
Alex O’Loughlin took on the lead role as Steve. Also, the cast included other talented actors such as Scott Caan, Daniel Dae Kim, Grace Park, Taryn Manning, Masi Oka, Lauren German, Michelle Borth, Chi McBride, Jorge Garcia, Meaghan Rath, Taylor Wily, and many others.
June 1 might seem far away from now at the moment, but it’s going to arrive quicker than you think. And when it does, Hawaii Five-0 will be sitting on Netflix just ready to take over your watchlist!
