Calling all Grey’s Anatomy fans! The latest season of the hit medical drama has been given an official Netflix release date. Grey’s Anatomy season 22 is set for a summer 2026 release on the streaming platform, and it won’t be long before subscribers can finally see the installment for themselves!

After months of emotional twists, complicated romances, shocking medical emergencies, and yet another disaster that pushed the doctors of Grey Sloan to their limits, the newest season of Grey’s Anatomy is finally making its way to Netflix very soon.

The exact Netflix release date is Saturday, June 6, 2026. This means you can expect all 18 episodes to drop on the platform on this date. For viewers who waited to binge the season all at once instead of keeping up weekly on ABC or Hulu, the countdown is now officially on!

As expected, excitement surrounding the streaming release has been building online ever since the season 22 finale aired on May 7. Grey’s Anatomy has become one of Netflix’s most consistently popular licensed shows over the years, and every new season release immediately sends fans back into binge-watch mode.

Even after more than two decades on television, the long-running medical drama still has an incredibly passionate audience. Whether people have been watching since Meredith Grey first walked into Seattle Grace Hospital in 2005 or discovered the series years later through Netflix, the show continues to dominate streaming and online conversations alike.

And honestly, Grey’s Anatomy season 22 gave fans plenty to talk about. Not only did the finale end with a bang, but it also saw the departures of two longtime cast members. That’s Kevin McKidd (Dr. Owen Hunt) and Kim Raver (Dr. Teddy Altman).

Fortunately, we don’t have to worry about waiting for a renewal. The beloved medical drama was renewed for a twenty-third season back in March 2026. Of course, Netflix subscribers won’t see this new installment until after it finishes airing on ABC. But this is still something exciting to look forward to!

Grey’s Anatomy is hands down one of the biggest comfort shows streaming on Netflix. It’s the kind of series you can turn on when you want something familiar, even if you know it’s going to make you cry, stress out, and emotionally recover by the end of each episode. There’s just something about the characters, their messy lives, and the nonstop drama at Grey Sloan that keeps people coming back like it’s home.

Now that the twenty-second season is coming to Netflix in just a few weeks, it’s basically the perfect excuse for a rewatch session. Grey’s Anatomy seasons 1 through 21 are already streaming on Netflix. While you probably won’t start from the very beginning, we recommend at least rewatching the twenty-first season. That way, you’ll be fully prepared to dive into the latest episodes when they drop on June 6!
