Khloé Kardashian Details ‘Gross’ Feeling She Got After Being Treated So Differently After Weight Loss: ‘I’ve Never Forgotten’

Khloé Kardashian is getting very real about the ugly side of Hollywood beauty standards — and TBH, what she just revealed is pretty heartbreaking.

On the latest episode of her podcast Khloé in Wonder Land that aired on Wednesday, the Kardashian sister opened up about how drastically people’s behavior toward her changed after she lost weight. And according to Khloé, the difference was impossible to ignore.

Of course, fans know the reality TV star began her fitness and wellness journey years ago, roughly following her very public split from Lamar Odom. Since then, she’s documented workouts, lifestyle changes, and personal struggles all over social media while becoming one of the most fitness-focused members of the KarJenner empire. But apparently all that transformation came with a very dark realization about how superficial people can really be.

While discussing on the pod whether she has ever used her famous last name to her advantage, Khloé explained that fame definitely opened doors for her in ways it hadn’t before. But the conversation quickly shifted into something much deeper when she reflected on how differently she was treated before her appearance changed.

She explained:

“When I was chubbier, I used to get very different treatment than [her sisters] Kourtney and Kim got. When I lost a lot of weight and started looking different, the treatment I started getting was so much better.”

Oof.

That has to sting, especially considering Khloé has spent years being cruelly compared to her sisters in the public eye. The Kardashians have lived under intense scrutiny forever, but Khloé arguably took the harshest criticism over her looks for years. And now, she’s confirming what many people sadly already suspected: that the world really does treat people differently based on size and appearance.

And she didn’t stop there! Khloé admitted the entire experience left a terrible taste in her mouth because she suddenly saw people switching up on her once she fit a more traditionally glamorous image.

She continued:

“I remember how gross that made me feel, but I also was like, I see all of you. This is a little game and I’ve never forgotten the ones that were mean or rude to me but great to Kourtney and Kim. and I’ve never f**ked with them. I’m the same person, but aesthetically I look different. Your treatment of me is so vastly different, and it makes me [feel] gross. That’s the world that this is, and I don’t like that.”

Watch it for yourself (below):

Damn.

Honestly, she’s not wrong. Society can be unbelievably harsh when it comes to weight, and especially for women in the spotlight. And while Khloé benefited from people suddenly treating her “better” after her transformation, she clearly recognizes just how messed up that really is.

What makes this even more upsetting is that it works in reverse, too. People who gain weight are often judged, ignored, mocked, or treated as less valuable despite being the exact same person. It’s cruel, shallow, and way more common than people want to admit.

At least Khloé is talking openly about it now. And unfortunately, it’s something a lot of people probably relate to…
