A record 102 world premiere feature films are on tap at the 25th edition of the Tribeca Festival in June.
While celebrity-driven films have long been a staple of Tribeca (along with Oscar-destined documentaries and work by top-tier narrative filmmakers), this year’s bounty includes a number of recognizable names. Among them are Paul Rudd, Quentin Tarantino (in front of the camera), Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson, Alicia Vikander, Emilia Clarke and Allison Brie.
The festival will run from June 3 to 14. Its slate will feature 117 feature films as well as 86 shorts. The fest dropped the word “film” from its official name several years ago in a nod to its diverse offerings. In keeping with that wide aperture, this year’s event will feature musicians Sara Bareilles, Peter Frampton, Alicia Keys, The LOX, and Mumford & Sons, as well as sports notables Carmelo Anthony, Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova. Tribeca X, a vertical within the festival, highlights brands and speakers from the worlds of advertising, technology and other business sectors.
Plaza is a producer and star of The Accompanist, which is one of the festival’s world premieres. Written and directed by Zach Woods, the film also stars Susan Sarandon, Everly Carganilla, and Kevyn Morrow.
Tarantino appears in Only What We Carry, an improvisational drama shot in six days on the Normandy coast in France. Directed and written by Jamie Adams, its cast includes Sofia Boutella, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Lizzy McAlpine and Simon Pegg.
Rudd stars in Rain Reign, along with Felice Kakaletris, Jeremy Sisto and Gretchen Mol. The drama, centering on a 12-year-old, neurodivergent girl, is directed and written by Erika Burke Rossa.

“Tribeca began 25 years ago as an act of healing, a mission to reunite our community through the power of storytelling. Today, that purpose feels more urgent than ever. As we navigate an increasingly divided world, the same spirit that rebuilt our city after 9/11 now fuels a new generation of artists and storytellers,” said Jane Rosenthal, Tribeca Festival Co-Founder and Co-Chair. “This year’s incredible feature and short film lineup includes stories from filmmakers who make us think, feel, laugh, cry, and ask why. Tribeca remains dedicated to the artists’ voices and diverse perspectives that challenge us to see one another more clearly.”
