Kit Connor and Diana Silvers are teaming up for a new movie based on true events.
The 22-year-old Heartstopper star and the 28-year-old The Abandons star have been cast to lead the upcoming true-crime film, PREPPY (stylized with a reverse E), according to Deadline.

What is PREPPY (stylized with a reverse E) about?
The upcoming film hails from director Janicza Bravo, based on an original script by David Levine and Rose Lichter-Marck. Jason Bateman is among the producers.
It will explore “the summer of 1986 leading to the murder of recent high school graduate Jennifer Levin at the hands of Robert Chambers, a former Manhattan private-school student, in New York’s Central Park. The shocking crime — in which Chambers was dubbed the ‘Preppy Killer’ — captivated a generation and put privilege, class and sex on trial.”

The casting news comes just weeks after it was announced that Kit would be playing Cyclops in an upcoming X-Men movie for Marvel!
He is, of course, best known for starring in Netflix’s YA series Heartstopper and its finale movie, Heartstopper Forever. Kit has also recently starred in the movie Warfare and has several more in the works, including the Elden Ring adaptation and the animated Charlie vs the Chocolate Factory for Netflix.
Diana had her breakout roles in Booksmart and Ma, both released in 2019. She then went on to star in the Space Force series and the movies The Killer, Lonely Planet, and Billy Knight. More recently, she starred in the Netflix series The Abandons.
