Ahsoka season 2 officially has a premiere date and its first teaser!
Disney and LucasFilm debuted the footage from the second season during the D23 Disney Entertainment Showcase on Friday night (August 14) in Anaheim, Calif. alongside stars Rosario Dawson, Hayden Christensen, and Eman Esfandi and creator Dave Filoni. Season 2 will premiere on January 20, 2027 exclusively on Disney+.

The season 2 teaser features Hayden‘s return as Anakin Skywalker with some footage showing him training Ariana Greenblatt‘s younger Ahsoka and later communicating with Rosario‘s adult version of the character.
Lars Mikkelsen is also back as Grand Admiral Thrawn along with Eman‘s Ezra Bridger. There are also some glimpses of Natasha Liu Bordizzo‘s Sabine Wren.
Rory McCann’s first Baylan footage
The teaser also shares the first footage of Rory McCann as Baylan Skoll. Rory‘s casting was announced back in January 2025. He is taking over the role from the late Ray Stevenson, who sadly passed away in May 2023. The teaser is the first we’re seeing of him in the part.
Ray originated the character for season 1, but died before the show debuted.
When will Ahsoka season 2 premiere?
The second season premieres on January 20, 2027 on Disney+, arriving approximately four years after season 1. The confirmed returning cast members include Rosario Dawson, Hayden Christensen, Eman Esfandi, Lars Mikkelsen, Ariana Greenblatt, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
The cast of X-Men was also revealed at D23.
Season 1 is currently streaming on Disney+.
