Google recently rolled out the new Preferred Sources feature in the U.S., so readers can select their favorite outlets — ones you visit daily, subscribe to or follow via social media — to make sure you see their stories first. Head to Google.com and search for a topic
Let’s use “Widow’s Bay” as an example here, since the Apple TV series is one of the big storylines going into the Emmy Awards.
Click on the icon to the right of Top Stories
After you’ve searched for anything about prestige pop culture or entertainment awards, click on the starred square icon next to Top Stories.

Search for your Preferred Sources
Start typing “Gold Derby” into the search field and it will auto-populates after typing “Gold.” Click the checkmark next to Gold Derby.

Refresh your results
Once you press the “reload results” button, your new search results should include the latest from Gold Derby.
From then on, Gold Derby will appear more prominently in Top Stories or within the “From your sources” section.
