Before handing your expensive tablet to your kid, this deal on Amazon is worth a look. For a limited time, you can grab the Fire 7 Kids tablet for $69.99, a massive 32% discount off the list price, and with an eligible trade-in, you can take an additional 20% off. The deal includes the tablet, a kid-proof case, and one year of Amazon Kids+, making it a potentially useful option for parents looking for a tablet for children ages 3 to 7.
If you’ve ever handed your child a tablet to keep them busy for a few minutes, then they dropped it or spilled something on it, this kids-proof upgrade is the perfect summer upgrade.
The Tablet That Is Built for Kids Who Are Not Always Gentle With Technology
The Fire 7 Kids Tablet is not a toy. It is a full-featured tablet designed for children ages 3 to 7, but it comes with a sturdy kid-proof case designed to protect it from the drops and bumps that tend to happen when young kids are involved.
Amazon also includes a two-year worry-free guarantee. If the tablet breaks during that period, you can return it, and it will be replaced for free. The guarantee adds extra peace of mind for parents who have watched a brand-new electronic device hit the floor five minutes after opening the box.
One Year of Kids+ Is Included
With one year of Amazon Kids+ included, kids have access to thousands of ad-free books, games, videos, and apps from brands including Disney, Nickelodeon, and PBS Kids. The service also includes educational content covering areas such as STEM activities and language learning.
Amazon Kids+ brings kids a selection of age-appropriate content in one place instead of leaving parents to search for individual apps and videos. After the included year, the subscription automatically renews at $5.99 per month plus applicable tax unless canceled. Parents can cancel at any time through the Amazon Kids Parent Dashboard or by contacting customer service.
Parents Get More Control Over What Happens on the Tablet
One of the biggest differences between a kids tablet and a regular tablet is the parental controls. Amazon’s Parent Dashboard is loaded with features that allow parents to:
- Filter content based on a child’s age
- Set educational goals
- Create time limits
- Manage what content children can access
- Grant access to additional services, including Netflix and Disney+
With more control over how the tablet is used, parents have extra comfort when handing over a device and hoping the child stays within the apps they are supposed to use for no additional fee.
Up to 10 Hours of Battery Life and Expandable Storage
The Fire 7 Kidstablet offers up to 10 hours of battery life, which should help keep it ready for car rides, vacations, waiting rooms, or those moments when parents need a little extra help keeping a child entertained. The tablet comes with either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, depending on the configuration selected. Storage can also be expanded by up to 1TB with a microSD card, giving parents more room for downloaded content.
A $69.99 Tablet That Could Be Useful for Summer and Beyond
The Fire 7 Kids tablet deal comes at the time when families are finishing up their summer travel, road trips, or simply looking for a device that can keep kids occupied during downtime.
For under $70, the bundle includes:
- Fire 7 Kids tablet
- Kid-proof protective case
- One year of Amazon Kids+
- Two-year worry-free guarantee
Right now is the time to upgrade to a relatively inexpensive way to get a dedicated tablet designed around younger kids, with parental controls and a library of content included for the first year. Parents who want a kid-focused tablet built to handle a few bumps along the way can add this one to their carts before this discount ends.
