Gold Derby is serving up Big Brother 28 spoilers all summer long. Read at your own risk!
Just when Rick Devens thought he could sit back, relax, and let his eight-person Toolshed alliance do the dirty work, the man went and won the Power of Veto himself. Talk about a power move.
Devens has held the reins since winning Head of Household earlier this week and nominating Jason De Puy, Lyric Medeiros, and Melody Morris — though all three know they’re just pawns (or are they?). His actual target has been Rome Seymour from the jump, and Saturday’s veto win means nothing stands in his way now.
Power of Veto
Feeds cut around midday for what turned out to be a puzzle competition tough enough to have houseguests sweating. When they came back? Devens had the necklace. Between the HOH and now this, the man is having quite the week — and we’re here for all the drama he’s stirring up.
Backdoor Watch
Nothing’s official yet — the Veto meeting isn’t until Monday — but the smart money in the house is on Devens pulling Melody off the block and sending Rome up in her place, setting up a Lyric vs. Jason vs. Rome nail-biter. Not everyone’s convinced, though; some houseguests think he might leave well enough alone in hopes Jason goes home this week, especially since Devens has had some heart-to-hearts with Rome since the noms were announced. In that scenario, if Jason won the Block Buster, Lyric would likely be the one to pay the price. Either way, Devens has been bringing the drama all week — why stop now?
Meanwhile, Rome is cozying up to Lyric and promising her that an eviction “isn’t the end” for them.
Devens’ eight-person “Toolshed” alliance — himself, Dee Valladares, Chuk Anyanwu, Haley Thogmartin, Kamu Kirk, Angela Murray, Barrett Pfeiffer, and Drew Campbell — is running the show right now. And with Devens holding both HOH and Veto, this week is very much under his control.
Stay tuned for more spoilers, including how the Power of Veto is used and who ends up as the final renom.
