EXCLUSIVE: U.S. distributor Saban Films has extended its $60M senior credit facility with East West Bank through 2030, building on a financing relationship that has been in place for a decade.

Saban’s library has grown to more than 300 films in that time and it has extended its distribution partnerships into multiple international territories. The company says it is eyeing further growth.

Saban has partnership distribution deals in Austria, France, Germany, Scandinavia, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, the UK, Ireland, Benelux, and Switzerland.

Based in LA, the company was founded by Haim Saban and is led by Co-Presidents Shanan Becker and Jonathan Saba, and Vice Chairman Bill Bromiley.

Recent releases include The Unholy Trinity starring Pierce Brosnan and Samuel L. Jackson, and Venice Film Festival title King Ivory starring James Badge Dale, Ben Foster, and Melissa Leo. The company partnered with Roadside for the release of Toronto Film Festival action film Fuze, starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Theo James and Sam Worthington.

“East West Bank has been a true partner to us in every sense of the word. This renewal is not simply a financial transaction — it is a reaffirmation of a relationship built on trust, deep industry knowledge, and a mutual belief in the enduring value of independent film. With this facility in place, we are well-positioned to continue bringing compelling stories to audiences and to pursue an ambitious acquisition slate in the years ahead,” said Shanan Becker, Co-President/CFO and Jonathan Saba, Co-President of Saban Films.

The conintued: “As we look toward 2027 and beyond, this facility will provide the capital flexibility necessary to materially increase both the size and scope of our film slate while continuing to pursue strategic opportunities across acquisition, production, and distribution.”

“We are pleased to continue our relationship with Saban Films and support the company’s long-term growth strategy,” added Bennett Pozil, Executive Vice President and Head of Corporate Banking of East West Bank. “Saban Films has established itself as a leading independent film distributor, and we look forward to supporting its continued growth and expansion in the years ahead.”

East West Bank is the largest independent bank headquartered in Southern California. Owner East West Bancorp had assets of $82BN in March, 2026.
