If you’re not keeping up with the newest season of The Valley, do yourself a favor and watch last night’s episode.
Yes, your favorite former stars of Vanderpump Rules, along with their bustling group of rowdy friends, are currently in Mexico to celebrate Zack Wickham‘s birthday. The episode, titled “Hips Don’t Lie,” has all of your typical drama from the dysfunctional friend group — and what was supposed to be a night about Wickham suddenly took a turn for the worse.
Toward the end of the episode, the usual arguing was abruptly interrupted by something much more serious. On the way to celebrate Wickham’s birthday at the gay club, the man of the hour instead found himself taking a detour to the local hospital.
The anxiety-inducing scene is undoubtedly one of the more shocking moments to come from a Bravo cast trip — and we still remember when Shannon Beador sought medical treatment after Kelly Dodd hit her on the head with a mallet during a meditative sound bath on a group trip to Mexico. So, what exactly happened to Wickham? Keep reading for everything you need to know!
What happened to Zack Wickham in Mexico?
While driving to the club in a party bus, a drunk Wickham and Jasmine Goode are hanging out of the van’s sunroof. Suddenly, Wickham screams after he notices a bird pooped all over his arm.
Goode reassures Wickham by telling him, “It’s your birthday, though. It’s good luck,” before wiping the feces off his arm with a to-go container. As the bus moves ahead at full speed, Wickham asks, “Did that absorb it?” But before Goode can respond, Wickham’s head collides directly with a traffic sign.
Wickham screams, the camera falls to the ground, and we see him painfully hold his hand over his head, as the producers scramble to check in with him.
Did Zack Wickham go to the hospital in The Valley?

Despite all of the blood gushing from Wickham’s head, he handles it like a champ. The good news? Wickham is alive and well. Yes, his head is gushing blood, but he insists that a doctor meets him at the gay club, and that everyone else continue partying as he receives medical attention. Nothing can keep this guy from celebrating his birthday!
Wickham’s partner Benji ultimately takes him to the hospital, which happens to be next door to the club.
Later in the episode, Wickham returns to the club with his head wrapped in a bandage as if he just got a facelift (or, in Brittany Cartwright’s case, chin liposuction). To no one’s surprise, he still has plenty of party energy. After a terrifying few minutes and some stitches, Wickham is able to bounce back as if nothing ever happened.
