Dylan O’Brien could be returning to television!
The 34-year-old actor has been cast in the leading role for Hulu’s comedy pilot Lex, according to Variety, where he’ll play a disgraced former reality star.
Dylan‘s casting comes over two months after the pilot was ordered by Hulu, with Severance‘s Sean Clements writing and executive producing, and Atlanta‘s Paul Simms also executive producing.
What is Lex about?
Per Variety, the series follows Lex (O’Brien), “a disgraced former reality star who accidentally films a murder in the background of a $20 Cameo video, and finds himself at the center of a global conspiracy — and on the run from powerful forces who want him dead. Using the skills he acquired navigating reality TV’s toxic social dynamics, Lex must fight to not get killed, to expose the truth, and most importantly… to get back on TV.”
If the series gets picked up, this would mark Dylan‘s first series regular role in a television show after Teen Wolf!
Since the MTV series ended, the actor has gone on to make guest appearances on shows like Weird City, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Other Two, and Fantasmas.
Recently, Dylan wrapped filming on his upcoming movie Apparatus, which also stars Heated Rivalry breakout Hudson Williams!
