It’s all love between Jerry O’Connell and John Stamos!
While opening up about his heartbreaking divorce from Rebecca Romijn, which he never wanted, on The Really Good Podcast with Bobbi Althoff this month, the Full House alum shared that he finally met the husband that came after him at a party last year!
It’s already awkward enough to meet your ex-wife’s current partner, but what made things worse is that John sparked a feud with Rebecca and Jerry beforehand! Back in 2023, the musician made a few harsh comments about the actress while promoting his memoir, If You Would Have Told Me, in which he called her “the devil” and said he “hated” her!
Yikes!
Honestly, most people might be surprised a brawl didn’t break out between these two! But anyone who knows Jerry knows that would never happen. John shared on the podcast that Jerry had been “super nice,” “very funny,” and “very charming” toward him despite the brutal remarks!

That’s John’s perspective on how the conversation went! Now, Jerry is sharing his side of the story — but no need to get concerned! The Jerry Maguire alum has nothing but good things to say! He insisted on Andy Cohen Live on Tuesday that he had a “friendly conversation” with John and his new wife, Caitlin McHugh, adding:
“John Stamos was at this party and I was like, ‘I got to make a beeline for him. I gotta just like, I got to go extend my hand.’ So I went, I saw him. His beautiful new wife was there. They have a kid. I put my hand out. I hugged him and I said, ‘Why didn’t you tell me about the shopping addiction?’ I’m kidding. That was a light-hearted joke I was trying to come up with.”
Lolz! Jerry had to break the ice somehow!
While The Talk host didn’t share a ton of details about the chat, he revealed he and John spoke for 20 minutes:
“I made some self-deprecating jokes. I made sure his new wife was there. You want everyone to feel included. I whispered to him when I hugged him, ‘She says you’re bigger than me.’ … I whispered, ‘She says Greeks are better lovers.’”
Aww, Jerry! He went above and beyond in making sure John felt appreciated there. Water under the bridge and all that.
Clearly he didn’t want to start any “beef” with John, but as for John’s recent comments about not wanting to divorce Rebecca and feeling heartbroken over it? Well, Jerry shockingly loves it all because he is a “gossipy fiend.” Even when it comes to his wife’s exes! Ha! How relatable! It’s safe to say there’s no hard feelings!
