Well, this is definitely NOT the update most fans were expecting!
Just days after news broke that Jelly Roll filed for divorce, his ex Bunnie Xo is opening up about where things really stand between the former couple — and according to her, their family plans are still very much moving forward.
During a candid conversation on her popular podcast on Thursday, Bunnie addressed the end of her nearly decade-long relationship with the country music superstar and revealed that the pair have managed to move through the divorce process surprisingly quickly.

She began by sharing:
“We’re literally settling our divorce in like… we’ve done it in like, what? Three weeks? Two weeks?”
Yep! But if that revelation wasn’t shocking enough, she followed it up with an even bigger bombshell:
“We’re still having a baby together.”
Wait, what?!?!
According to Bunnie, the end of their marriage doesn’t mean the end of their plans to become parents. In fact, she made it clear that she and Jelly Roll remain incredibly close and fully intend to raise a child together despite no longer being husband and wife.
Explaining their unique situation, she also addressed the rampant cheating speculation that’s been flying around online, explaining:
“So, we have been the most unconventional couple that you guys have ever encountered. We’re going to co-parent together. J is my best friend. Like, this isn’t what you guys think this is. Nobody cheated on the other person. It’s literally just we served our purpose for each other.”
That statement is likely to put an end to at least some of the speculation that has exploded online since news of the split surfaced. Fans have been searching for clues and theories about what could have caused the breakup, and while we still don’t know what exactly happened, Bunnie at least now insists there was no infidelity involved!

Instead, she suggested that both of them are focused on what comes next rather than dwelling on the past. As she explained:
“The future is so much more important and being happy and healthy and best friends through this is probably the biggest gift that we could have given each other.”
The podcast also gave Bunnie an opportunity to discuss the emotional struggles she and Jelly Roll faced while trying to expand their family. She revealed that the couple suffered the loss of four embryos during their IVF journey, an experience that took a profound toll on both of them.
Reflecting on that difficult chapter, she admitted:
“It wrecked me emotionally, spiritually, physically. … In a way, I kind of think J [Jelly Roll] and I are trauma-bonded.”
So sad.
BTW, Thursday’s podcast marks the VERY FIRST time Bunnie has publicly addressed the breakup since reports emerged that Jelly Roll filed for divorce in Tennessee back in May. And while the romantic chapter of their relationship may be coming to a close, it sounds like the story between these two is very far from over.
