Jelly Roll is opening up about a recent health scare amid his headline-making divorce news.
If you didn’t see, it was reported on Monday (June 15) that the 41-year-old “Son of a Sinner” singer, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, filed for divorce from wife Bunnie Xo last month after 10 years of marriage.
In a TikTok shared on June 11, Jelly Roll – who is currently on tour with Pose Malone – revealed that he “went to the hospital” the night before as he battled a sinus infection.
“So, I went to the hospital last night in Charlotte, North Carolina,” Jelly Roll said in the video. “Shout out to that whole hospital. They literally got me on my feet for the show.”
“I was puffy-faced,” the country music singer said, adding that the doctors “gave me a bunch of steroids.”
Jelly Roll explained that the health issue forced him to miss a portion of a show for the first time since joining Post, 30, on tour. According to Jelly Roll, Post checked in on him after learning he was sick.
“The next night, he sends me a big flower bouquet,” Jelly Roll said, revealing a note from the fellow musician that read, “Get well soon, Mofo! Love Ya.”
“I love you Post, when I say on stage every night that Post Malone is the nicest human in the world. I’m not making that up,” he added. “[He’s] the most normal dude in the world. Like I love you, Post.”
Jelly Roll‘s health news comes days before it surfaced that he and Bunnie, 46, were ending their marriage.
His legal documents were recently unveiled, and it revealed their date of separation and their reason for the divorce. His daughter also recently broke her silence on the news.
