The 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off on Thursday (June 11), with 48 teams competing to be the No. 1 in the world.
How to Watch the World Cup for Free
You can watch the World Cup on Fox and FS1, with Spanish-language broadcasts available on Telemundo and Universo.
The World Cup can be streamed on Fox ONE, which currently offers a three day trial.
There are also free trials available through services like Fubo and DirecTV. Sling TV offers access to Fox and FS1 in select markets, but does not currently offer a free trial.
Spanish-language coverage is also available on Peacock, which will stream all 104 matches live. Telemundo will air 92 matches, with the remaining 12 airing on Universo.
This year’s World Cup takes place in 16 stadiums across the U.S., Mexico and Canada.
Which teams are in the FIFA World Cup 2026 groups?
The World Cup includes 48 countries from the start. Only 32 will advance past the group round. These are the countries that will compete in the group stage:
