Greetings from Italy and welcome to your end-of-week roundup of everything new on Netflix US! As we officially cross into September, Netflix has opened the floodgates with a massive first-of-the-month content drop. Over the past seven days, a staggering 109 new titles (95 movies and 14 series) have been added to the library.

For today, we’re looking at the complete weekly picture as we head into the weekend. Whether you want to catch up on massive horror sequels, dive into some spicy reality TV, or revisit classic 80s action flicks, your watchlist is about to get seriously packed.

The Gentlemen (Season 2)

Picking up where the chaotic first season left off, Eddie Horniman (Theo James) is now fully entrenched in the cutthroat, aristocratic weed empire he inherited. But with new money comes new enemies, and this season promises even more eccentric gangsters, double-crosses, and signature rapid-fire Ritchie dialogue. One of the many big recent Paramount movies hitting Netflix this month is this terrifying sequel to the 2022 breakout horror hit is ready to ruin your sleep schedule. Starring Naomi Scott as a global pop sensation about to embark on a massive world tour, the film follows her descent into a waking nightmare as she begins experiencing increasingly terrifying and inexplicable events. Plagued by the sinister, smiling entity, she is forced to confront her dark past to survive. It’s an intense, jump-scare-heavy thrill ride perfect for kicking off the spooky season a little early.
Untold Raygun: Breaking Badly (2026)

Netflix’s acclaimed Untold documentary series never misses a beat when it comes to the cultural zeitgeist. This brand-new original documentary takes a deep, often hilarious, and surprisingly poignant look at the viral sensation of the 2024 Paris Olympics: Australian breakdancer Rachael “Raygun” Gunn. The doc explores how a university lecturer became an overnight global meme, diving into the backlash, the internet culture surrounding her performance, and the actual mechanics of competitive breaking.

Most Popular Movies This Week
On the US Movies top 10 list list, Netflix’s brand-new original mystery films are performing exceptionally well. The incredibly creepy psychological thriller The Whisper Man climbed to the #1 spot to claim the crown with 80 points, pushing the Danish original The Secret Woman up to a strong #2 (69 points).
We’re also seeing documentaries making a massive splash this week. The thought-provoking Turning Point: Generation 9/11 hit the chart at #6, closely followed by two volumes of the Untold series: The Testimony of Vince Young (#7) and our brand-new highlight, the viral Untold Raygun: Breaking Badly (#8). Families are also keeping The Angry Birds Movie 2 anchored near the top in the #3 spot (59 points).

On the TV Series charts, the true-crime dramatization Death of the Pastor’s Wife managed to unseat the Pogues, taking the #1 spot with a commanding 80 points. The Tyler Perry drama Beauty in Black (Season 3) also flexed its staying power, securing the #2 spot (69 points). Last week’s champion, the final season of Outer Banks, slid down a few spots but is still holding on tight at #4 (48 points).
Looking at this week’s fresh arrivals, we can see the immediate algorithm impact of cozy, long-running comfort watches: Season 19 of the beloved family drama Heartland debuted on the board at #9 (14 points). And while Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen (Season 2) currently sits at #10 with 14 points, we fully expect that stylish crime saga to shoot up the ranks over the weekend as more fans realize it has returned!
