Spider-Noir continued its post-cancellation awards hot streak, picking up another trophy Saturday at the third annual MacGuffin Awards. Presented by the Property Masters Guild, the MacGuffins honor the creative work of property masters across film, television, and commercials.
One Battle After Another won Contemporary Feature Film, while Frankenstein took Period Feature Film and Avatar: Fire and Ash won Fantasy/Science-Fiction Feature Film. Television was spread across eight categories: Spider-Noir won for Period Series with The ‘Burbs, Fallout, Widow’s Bay, Vampirina: Teenage Vampire, Chief of War, and The Muppet Show also scoring. Robbie Duncan was the night’s only double winner, taking Short Format for “Brighter Days Ahead” on top of his win for One Battle After Another.
Barry Wilkinson received the Lifetime Achievement Award for a career of more than four decades and 70-plus films. His credits include Titanic, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, GoldenEye, and the Harry Potter movies. Food stylist Luis Castro won the Humanitarian Award for his work empowering neurodivergent individuals through his company Imagine Cookin. Fellow food stylist Trish Reilly took the President’s Award, which honors people outside the property master role.
