For the fourth America’s Got Talent live show of Season 21, judges Howie Mandel, Mel B, and Sofia Vergara were joined by Heidi Klum (sitting in for Simon Cowell) for a three hour night of performances and results from the final 11 acts looking for America’s vote to reach the semifinals.
Tonight, Sofia is in charge of the Live Golden Buzzer with the decision to send one of the acts straight through to the finale. At the first quarterfinals on Aug. 18, Howie gave the prize to the magician group Hundred Fingers, and at the second quarterfinals on Aug. 25, Mel B sent rocker Nene Royal through to the finale. Then at the third quarterfinals on Sep. 1, guest judge Kenan Thompson gave it to singer Lai Noelle, Simon’s original Golden Buzzer choice from the auditions.
For the 10 acts not selected by a judge during tonight’s Quarterfinals 4, their fate will be left in the hands of America’s vote, with results being announced in the third hour of tonight’s broadcast where only three more will advance.
Taking the stage in Week 4 are the following: variety performer Akira, rock duo Bird and Byron, impressionist Cameron Logsdon, comedy singer Cesar Dias, singer Jesse Joe, Australian singer Lara D (Sofia’s Golden Buzzer), Spanish parkour athlete Rubén Roldán (Simon’s Golden Buzzer), singer Travis Garland, knife throwing duo Tyrone & Margo, robot dance group Unitree, and magic duo Young & Strange.
