Game of Thrones is an all-time Emmy champ. And that winning DNA has found its way to the latest spinoff of the HBO fantasy series. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms kept the franchise winning streak going, scoring an Emmy for Best Stunt Performance on Sunday.
That was one of nine nominations the series racked up in its rookie year. It also received bids for Best Drama Series, cinematography, costumes, production design, hairstyling, music composition, sound editing, and special visual effects. All but the series award were presented during Night 2 of the Emmys.
Game of Thrones holds the record for most Emmys by a scripted program. Over its eight seasons, the HBO fantasy series tallied 59 awards in 159 nominations.
The first GoT spinoff, House of the Dragon, has won two Emmys so far — costumes for Season 1, makeup for Season 2 — with 14 total nominations.
