The year 2026 has already been quite a highlight for Alan Ritchson, but the upcoming week is turning out to be something else entirely. The actor will headline the final two episodes of the fourth season of Reacher, and on the day of the season finale he will pass the baton to the spin-off series Neagley, which he has a guest role in. Simultaneously, his action movie Motor City continues to find an audience on PVOD, while his latest action vehicle eyes a theatrical release. In summary, Ritchson’s fans have four new projects to sample in one week alone, not to mention his record-breaking movie War Machine, which premiered on Netflix earlier this year.
Ritchson’s upcoming theatrical movie also features Owen Wilson, and was directed by Scott Waugh, best known for Expend4bles and Need for Speed. Ritchson and Wilson star as a mismatched pair tasked with transporting a liver to a sick girl, while being tailed by mercenaries. It was only a few months ago that Ritchson starred in a buddy action movie with Kevin James, Playdate. That film was released on Prime Video, while his upcoming movie with Wilson will get a theatrical release courtesy of Angel Studios, a faith-based outfit that has seen plenty of success in recent years.

Alan Ritchson Has a Packed Slate
The movie in question is Runner, not to be confused with the recently released action film titled The Runner, starring Gal Gadot. Fortunately for Ritchson and co., their film hasn’t been trashed by critics. It currently holds a 55% score on the aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, while Gadot’s similarly titled film sits at a 9% score. Incidentally, a movie of the same title starring Nicolas Cage was released in 2015, and is now sitting at a 24% score. The latest season of Reacher continued the show’s streak of critical acclaim with a 95% score on Rotten Tomatoes, while Motor City was appreciated for its stylish action sequences as well; the movie has settled at a 60% score on the aggregator website. Ritchson now has a sequel to War Machine in the works, but before that, he’ll star in a Prime Video Christmas-themed action-comedy with Arnold Schwarzenegger and a biopic of a Vietnam War veteran.
