On Tuesday’s America’s Got Talent Quarterfinals 3, Kenan Thompson sat in for an absent Simon Cowell, assuming the duty of handing out the third Live Golden Buzzer of the round. Kenan chose to follow in Simon’s footsteps by awarding it to 14-year-old singer Lai Noelle, just like Simon did during the audition phase. The move sends Lai straight through to the Season 21 finals. Now the remaining 10 performers await the results of the overnight vote to determine which three acts will advance to the semifinals.
They are: mashup act Acro Canine Crew, comedian Daniel Alvarez, singer Elsie, poet Guy Kelton Jones I, French acrobat Herwan Legaillard, aerial duo Holland & Sienna, singer Isaac Atkins, Canadian magician Kameron Marshall, German contortionist Maria, and musician Pynk Beard.
AGT host Terry Crews once again joined Kenan, Howie Mandel, Mel B, and Sofía Vergara at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Simon Cowell was still out of commission due to his back surgery.
How’d it all play out on Wednesday night? Read on for our results recap of America’s Got Talent Quarterfinals 3, which aired Sep. 2 on NBC.
