Directed by Gregg Araki—a filmmaker known for queer cult classics, like 2010’s Kaboom—who also co-wrote the script with Karley Sciortino, I Want Your Sex promises to be an “erotic comedy thriller.” Wilde stars as a provocative modern artist named Erika, and Licorice Pizza star Cooper Hoffman plays Erika’s new, timid, sexually repressed assistant. But he won’t stay repressed for long—Erika is about to teach her new protégé about the wonders of BDSM sex.
The film first premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival in January, where it was met with mostly positive reviews. But you know that Gen Z is going to have hot takes when it comes to a sex parody about their generation. If you want to check out the movie for yourself rather than reading reviews on Letterboxd, then we have good news: I Want Your Sex will soon be available to watch online.
I Want Your Sex movie digital release date:
Beginning on Tuesday, September 1, at 12 a.m. Eastern Time (which is also 9 p.m. Pacific Time on August 31), I Want Your Sex will be available to buy and rent digitally on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Fandango At Home, and more.
The price may vary depending on which platform you use to purchase the film, but on Amazon Prime the movie will cost $19.99 to rent, and $24.99 to buy. If you rent the movie, you will have a 48-hour window to watch it after you hit “play.”
The I Want Your Sex DVD release date has not yet been announced.

I Want Your Sex is not currently streaming free on any of the subscription-based streaming services, and we don’t know if it will ever be released on any subscription-based streaming services. The distributor for the movie, Magnolia Pictures, does not have any output deals with a specific streamer.
That said, one recent Magnolia Pictures film, Normal, did end up streaming on HBO Max about four months after it opened in theaters. It’s possible that I Want Your Sex will do the same, and stream on HBO Max about four months after the movie opened in theaters, which would be around late November 2026.
But may other Magnolia films did not go on to streaming on HBO Max, so there’s no guarantee. If you want to watch the film online, you can buy or rent I Want Your Sex on digital.
