Gold Derby is serving up Big Brother 28 spoilers all summer long. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
Heading into the Aug. 20 live eviction episode of Big Brother, Yash Patel’s Head of Household reign had just been partially dethroned by Rick Devens. The Survivor gamer used his Diamond Power of Veto to remove his No. 1 ally, Dee Valladares, from the chopping block and replace her with MMA fighter Kamu Kirk. That meant either Kamu, Angela Murray, or Haley Thogmartin would be the sixth person voted out of BB28.
Let’s break down the key highlights from Thursday night, from the live eviction to the new Head of Household, beginning with:
BLOCK BUSTER
First up during the live show was the Block Buster competition, where the three nominees each had to grab 10 red balls and 10 yellow balls and put them into their tubes. Angela was the fastest thanks to using a seated strategy, winning the comp and earning last-minute safety.
LIVE EVICTION
Host Julie Chen Moonves then asked all of the eligible players to vote for who they wanted to see evicted from the game. By a vote of 8-to-1, Kamu was evicted from the house. He had no hard feelings against Devens for using his power against him, but wished it hadn’t happened. “It is what it is; it’s a good move,” the MMA fighter declared. He also asked Julie and CBS to let him come back to the show one day.
HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD
The Week 7 HOH will be determined later tonight, and we’ll be glued to the live feeds and update this article as soon as they are announced. The person will then have less than a day to name their three nominees, as the nominations ceremony takes place Friday afternoon (it will be shown to CBS viewers on Sunday night).
