The first season of Apple TV‘s Slow Horses ended with a twist that seemed destined to pay off eventually.
Well, eventually is on its way.
The first trailer for Season 6 of the Emmy-winning spy drama Slow Horses closes out with a reveal that is sure to make loyal fans say “Finally!”
Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming sixth season of Slow Horses.
The Trailer
The Story
No, that isn’t a House of the Dragon crossover being teased at the end of the trailer. That’s Olivia Cooke returning to her Season 1 role of Sidonie “Sid” Baker, who — when we last saw her — had supposedly been shot in the head.
Her character’s death, which never quite looked definitive, was thrown even further into question during that season finale when Ho (Christopher Chung) revealed to River (Emmy nominee Jack Lowden) that someone named Sid Baker never existed.
Sid joins Louisa Guy (Rosalind Eleazar) as returning characters who are brought back into the world of Slough House because of an outside threat targeting members of the espionage team.
The Awards Odds
Slow Horses‘ Emmy nomination odds have been about as reliable as its release schedule. The show has totaled 23 nominations all together, including nine for the upcoming 78th ceremony this September. And that’s up from five from the previous year. If trends continue, there’s reason to believe the spy drama will be slowing down anytime soon.
The Release Date
Slow Horses Season 6 will begin streaming on Apple TV Sept. 16.
