Big Brother 28‘s Rick Devens spent the last three weeks with a Diamond Power of Veto in his pocket. On Monday, he finally got to use it.
Yash Patel thought he was making big moves as the Week 6 Head of Household, nominating Angela Murray, Dee Valladares, and Haley Thogmartin for eviction. After winning the OTEV Veto competition over the weekend, the New Jersey-based finance analyst thought he had complete control of the game.
Yash walked into Monday’s meeting thinking the block was set. Instead, Devens used his secret power to pull Dee off and dropped a bomb in her place: Kamu Kirk, one of Yash’s closest allies.
It’s no fault in Yash’s game — he had no way of seeing this coming — but now we’re going to find out how the house pivots. Devens had been wavering on the power all weekend, telling the cameras from a hammock that “you can’t play these games scared” before finally pulling the trigger.
The block is now Angela, Haley, and Kamu, with a BB Block Buster still in play to save one of the at-risk houseguests. Dee and Devens believe they have the numbers to send Kamu packing on Thursday, so long as he’s still on the block. But will the house be on their side if he’s sitting next to Angela or Haley? Stay tuned.
